END OF YEAR DONATION

At this Christmas season, we all have much to be thankful for.  At Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way, we are thankful to you for your continuing support of an organization which positively affects the lives of thousands of your friends and neighbors.

As the year comes to a close, we are asking for your assistance in providing financial support for our Community Impact Program, which over the past three years has provided more than $170,000 in funding for local non-profit programs promoting “Healthier Children.”

In 2018, we are dramatically expanding this program to provide Community Impact Funding for “Healthier Children,” “Our Aging Population” and “Homeless Residents.”  Funds raised will be awarded to highly respected and carefully vetted programs making a marked difference for these three needy segments of our community.

As a review of a few highlights during 2017, your Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way provided funding to 28 non-profit Partner Agencies, who collectively serve more than 16,000 people each month, provided 1,588 turkeys, hams and other foods to families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, filled 12 local food pantries with some 35,000 pounds of food during our Day of Action Food Drive in June, headed up the coordination of distributing and accounting for $127,500 in Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds and our annual Community Resource Fair in May, which linked 62 local non-profit and governmental programs with more than 600 attendees.

We are highly grateful to the individuals, companies and organizations that stepped forward in a big way to make these events and programs excel, donating their monies, time and expertise. 2017 has been a year successful in reaching a record number of women, men and children with needs.

Would you please consider lending your assistance with a year-end tax deductible gift to help grow our Community Impact Program? 100% of your year-end donation will be used to expand this vital grant program in which the awarded non-profit organizations are initially highly screened and their expenditure of funds monitored over the 12-month grants.
