2023 PEDRO AWARD
Forty-six years ago, the Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way began to receive a modest monthly contribution, paid in cash, with a note stating “TO HELP OTHERS” signed “PEDRO.” A year later it was decided to borrow the “Pedro” name for a very special Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way award. The Pedro Award is the only award of its kind, recognizing an individual’s lifetime of caring for his/her fellowman without thought of personal gain. The recipient of this award will be announced and presented at the Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way “Celebration of Service and Awards Breakfast” on August 3, 2023.
