"An Elegant Soirée Wine and Culinary Extravaganza," is being held this year on Saturday, October 4, 6:00 p.m., at the Walnut Avenue Community Center, 1431 Walnut Avenue, just south of Yuba City.
 
Now in its 15th year, "An Elegant Soirée" has a new theme, more foods, more wines and as always, live entertainment. Entertainment will be provided by, "The Earles of Newtown," which features music from the "Prohibition Era," plus jug, Dixie and jazz! This eight piece show band is a must see as they'll bring down the house! Learn more about the band here!
 
Featured tasting wines come from fine wineries in Yuba, Sutter, Napa, Sonoma and other California growing areas. In addition, there will be a few international wines.
 
The new location allows "An Elegant Soirée" to expand with an exciting new theme, which this year is "The Great Gatsby." "It will be a fun opportunity for attendees to dress for the era if they so choose," said Bob Harlan, YSUW Executive Director.
 
Up to 20 restaurants are expected to be in attendance with culinary delights and desserts.
